The fastest screening tool for peripheral arterial disease
It is everything that you are looking for in a medical device – a fast, simple, accurate and objective screening tool for the diagnosis of peripheral arterial disease.

We have designed and developed the first valuable automated Ankle-Brachial Index measuring device (MESI ABPI MD), based on oscillometry and volume plethysmography. The blood pressure on the upper and lower extremities is measured simultaneously, resulting in the calculation of the Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI). The result of the examination is clear and straight forward. Only what is really important – the left ABI, right ABI and brachial blood pressure – is displayed. The measurement is repeatable and can be performed in only one minute, instead of the usual 30 minutes that are required to perform the manual Doppler method.

2 in 1: ABI and BP measurement
This is not just a medical device for ABI; this is a medical device for the simple, objective and accurate measurement of ABI and blood pressure. The expertly developed MESI ABPI MD has two measurement modes:
-Simultaneous measurement of the left ABI, the right ABI, blood pressure and heart rate.
-Stand-alone measurement of brachial blood pressure and heart rate.
Therefore, MESI ABPI MD should be used as a screening tool on patients in cardiovascular risk group visiting every primary healthcare facility.
Colour coded cuffs simplify the use of the device. The different colours indicate where to place each cuff. The red cuff should be positioned on the upper arm, green on the right ankle and yellow on the left ankle. Each cuff is clearly labelled and includes a diagram to ensure correct placement. Thanks to these comprehensive guidelines, no training is required.
MESIresults computer software supplements the measurement of ABI and provides user-friendly documentation of the results.
MESIresults provides a secure database of your results and a detailed measurement analysis along with the pulse waveform interpretation. The measurement report can be printed out, archived as PDF or exported for research.
Long lasting battery for maximum portability
Portability of MESI ABPI MD has been enhanced with a long lasting battery, for 40 measurements, which enables the device to be used wherever it is needed, regardless of the availability of an electricity point.
A portable, wheeled stand with a magnetic base has been designed to enhance the functionality of MESI ABPI MD.
The stand provides a flat and stable surface for the device and safe storage for the cuffs. The stand makes it possible to use it wherever it is required.
