MESI mTABLET ABI with MESI TBI MODULE

Why visit our stand?

Explore how the MESI mTABLET diagnostic system can contribute to effective vascular health management. Wounds often result from conditions like diabetes, which is a dangerous comorbidity with a negative impact on the diagnosis of various conditions, including Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). In the UK, PAD affects 1 out of 3 diabetics over the age of 50.

Early detection is vital for preventing grave consequences of PAD. With the MESI mTABLET ABI, you can measure the Ankle-Brachial Index (an indicator of PAD) in minutes. ABI measurement is recommended especially in the following cases:

  • in patients with metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes: they are 3 to 5 times more likely to develop PAD.
  • in other PAD risk groups, e.g. people over 50 with family history of lower-extremity arterial disease, people under 65 with conventional risk factors (smoking, dyslipidemia, hypertension), or all adults aged 65 or older.

Please note: In case of PAD suspicion in patients with leg ulcers, further vascular examination should be conducted.
