Diabetes Congress DDG

You are kindly invited to join MESI at the Diabetes Kongress, taking place between 17 and 20 May in Berlin, Germany. Organised by the German Diabetes Association (Deutsche Diabetes Gesellschaft, DDG), consisting of scientific lectures and workshops with the theme Thinking Diabetes Anew – Diversity and Individuality.

Why visit our stand?

Diabetes mellitus is a dangerous comorbidity and also has a negative impact on the diagnosis of various conditions, including Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). With the MESI mTABLET ABI, you can measure the Ankle-Brachial Index in minutes. ABI measurement is recommended especially in the following cases:

o Patients with metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes: they are 3 to 5 times more likely to develop peripheral artery disease (PAD).

o As prevention in non-diabetic PAD risk groups, e.g. people over 65 years of age. This is because many people with diabetes are undiagnosed.

o In case of ulcers or other changes on lower extremities, especially feet.

Conditions such as the diabetic foot prevent the Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) measurement, a Toe-Brachial Index measurement is performed instead. On the MESI mTABLET, both ABI and TBI can be performed on a single device.
