Privacy Policy for Employment Candidates
INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA of candidates applying for an open position at MESI d.o.o.
This document, prepared in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter: “GDPR”), describes the typical instances of processing personal data of candidates who apply for an open position. In the case of specific processing operations, you will be provided with relevant information prior to such processing.

Purposes of processing and legal basis
We process the personal data that we obtain when you complete the application form on our website and attach the relevant documents in order to apply for a specific job vacancy. Such data is processed only to the extent, in the manner, and under the conditions necessary for the purpose of selecting a suitable candidate for employment in relation to the vacancy for which you have applied (processing necessary for the performance of steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract – Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent, we may also process the personal data obtained through the application form and attached documents for the purposes of considering you for future vacancies (the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes – Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Is the provision of personal data a statutory or contractual requirement, or a requirement necessary for the conclusion of a contract, and is the data subject obliged to provide such personal data, as well as what are the possible consequences if such data is not provided?
When applying for a published job vacancy, you are not obliged to provide personal data. However, if you choose not to disclose your personal data, we will not be able to consider you in the candidate selection procedure.
Recipients of personal data
Personal data may be processed by processors engaged by MESI under a data processing agreement (hosting providers, software providers, and IT maintenance providers).
Transfer of personal data to a third country or an international organization
Personal data is not transferred to third countries or international organizations.
Existence of automated decision-making, including profiling
Automated decision-making or profiling is not carried out.
Retention period of personal data, or where not possible, the criteria used to determine such period
Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, until any appeal procedures of unsuccessful candidates are concluded, or until withdrawal of consent, where processing is based solely on consent.
Existence of the right to request from the controller access to personal data, rectification or erasure of personal data, or restriction of processing concerning the data subject, as well as the existence of the right to object to processing and the right to data portability
The data subject has the right to request from the controller access to personal data, as well as the rectification or erasure of personal data, or the restriction of processing concerning him or her, and the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. The data subject’s request shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR and applicable sectoral legislation.
Where processing is based solely on your consent (point (a) of Article 6(1) GDPR), you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In the Republic of Slovenia, this is the Information Commissioner.
